“A retreat for deep nourishment, seasonal alignment, and radiant well-being”

Summer is the season of fire, light, and full aliveness. It is also a season that, without tending, can tip into depletion, inflammation, and overwhelm. Ayurveda understands this. It offers us a whole vocabulary for moving through summer in a way that is nourishing rather than draining, vibrant rather than exhausted.

Ayurvedic Summer Bliss is an immersive retreat experience grounded in the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and the extraordinary beauty of the Maine coast. Over four days on the shores of Penobscot Bay, Kristin will guide you into the practices, rhythms, and self-knowledge that allow you to receive the gifts of summer rather than be consumed by them.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

Each day is shaped by the Ayurvedic understanding of summer’s qualities and how to work with them. Kristin weaves together Ayurvedic teachings, nourishing bodywork, somatic stress release, and nervous system support into a coherent arc that moves from arrival to integration.

Mornings open with seasonal Ayurvedic teaching followed by movement, pranayama, and breath practices suited to the Pitta season. Afternoons are offered freely: the labyrinth, the shore walk, journaling in your room, or simply resting in the views of Penobscot Bay. Evenings are for integration, conversation, and early, restorative rest.

Kristin’s Ayurvedic bodywork sessions offer each participant personalized hands-on care: treatments selected for your individual constitution and the needs of the season. Her somatic stress release work creates the conditions for the nervous system to genuinely let go, not just for an hour, but in ways that carry forward.

Each full day you will receive a 90 minute Ayurvedic body treatment aimed at calming, soothing and balancing pitta Dosha (the fire and water elements).

Daily offerings will include:

  • 1.5 hours of body work each day, including a customized combination of massage, body oiling, steam, etc. (3 total)
  • Teaching sessions on each dosha, food, and lifestyle (3 total)
  • Movement classes with yoga and somatic work, including therapeutic postures
  • Breath work
  • All meals
  • Access to all of Limina’s amenities, including sauna, biomat, and walking trails

Additional meditation, sound healing, and breath work classes may also be offered throughout the retreat.

All of the delicious meals will be grounded in ayurvedic principles of seasonal eating and balancing the summer elements.
