Julie Brown

Julie Brown is a wife, mother, grandmother, writer and life adventurer who resides in Windham, Maine. She is the author of “Building a Life:  A Mother’s Healing Journey of Self-Discovery”.  You can find her blog at www.lifewithjuliebrown.

Julie spent many years working as a caregiver in the healthcare field before searching for a more gentle way to balance family, work and life in general.  Using her care skills was both deeply fulfilling and also exhausting when one of her adult children became terminally ill.  As a mother of child loss, she is grateful to have shared her story on a podcast at www.holdingthelight.com.

Julie has worked with preschool children teaching yoga and also with pregnant teens sharing the healing benefits of movement and touch.  She loves travel and is an enthusiastic runner.

Drawing from years of experience in fitness, holistic bodywork and end-of-life hospice care, Julie’s work reflects a deep commitment to compassionate support, personal growth and whole-person wellness.
